Joe Smoke is a conscious and emotionally inspired rapper, and also a Garage Mc in the blood cousins duo Millz and Smoke, from Manchester.
Using music as a way of expressing emotion, Joe Smoke brings different energies to his music on different tempos, dubbed by his peers as "The Realest" and "The most raw" in the underground Manchester rap/hip-hop scene, due to his willingness to show honesty and vulnerability in his music.
His first major body of work 'The Diary of Joe Smoke' (produced, mixed and mastered by Diligent Fingers) is a special and very personal project which tells listeners a story. The album highlights his journey through the latter stages of addiction, his struggles with mental health - where there is some contradiction in his lyrics which really captivates the mindstate he was in, his trouble with the law, and eventually finding sobriety in recovery. All showcased through music and spoken word 'Diary Entries'.
'DOJS' also has official artwork painted by Joe Smoke himself, influenced by the tracks from the album which can be bought right here, on his official website.
Signed by local music label Spynal Records, and surrounding himself with musically/business minded creative individuals; Joe Smoke is a part of the Spynal family collective and has influences on the new event @Motion_MCR.
